The theme of the 2015 Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) Conference and Trade Show is Power for a Cooler Climate.
Climate change has been a growing concern for over three decades, and scientists predict that the greenhouse gases (GHG) we emit into the air could shift the climate beyond an irreversible tipping point within our lifetimes. Yet despite these warnings, these emissions continue to climb in both developing and developed countries alike. A heightened global awareness and comprehensive energy policy are required to curtail this dangerous trend.
That’s why in 2015 we will take a critical look at Canada’s GHG emissions and the cleaner strategies we could be employing in the energy sector to improve the situation. Nuclear is among the technologies with the most potential to successfully reduce GHG emissions to a stable level, and it is therefore our responsibility to take a leadership role in this important movement.
Join us from February 25 – 27, 2015 as we focus on collaborative strategies to provide the Power for a Cooler Climate.
